My Story
I am naturally curious about traditional and contemporary attitudes towards community and environmental stewardship. It started with a childhood amongst tribal cultures and resource-based economies in remote Alaska that led to me studying sustainable development principles and their application in Arizona, England, and British Columbia.
I became a businesswoman specializing in Corporate Social Responsibility and married into a Canadian mining family. During my eight-year career as a gold exploration start-up executive, I fostered a corporate culture that inspired a talented group of homegrown employees, motivated wealthy global investors, included local project stakeholders in decision-making, empowered women in a male-dominated industry, and was respectful of the environment.
My business leadership often crossed into public leadership when decision makers, movers, and shakers began relying on me to help them realize big ideas and ambitions.
Ready to attend to my own agency, I moved to New Orleans where I established a Communications and Culture consultancy. I help individuals, entities, and movements make a thoughtful difference in community by effectively engaging people with their mission and guiding subsequent change.
Personally, I actively orient to social issues through volunteerism, practicing healing arts, and participating in the hospitality industry.
